Buying from Japan
How a purchase actually runs
Importing a machine from another country is mostly paperwork and timing. Here is the whole sequence, including the parts that are your responsibility rather than ours.
-
01
Tell us the job
Plot size, soil, implements you already own, and whether parts are available near you. Or send the exact model if you already know it.
-
02
Inspect and quote
Wear-point photographs, hours verified against service stickers, and a clear price — ex-yard or CIF your port with freight itemised.
-
03
Proforma and payment
The proforma locks the specification and price. Payment is by telegraphic transfer to our company account in Japan. The unit is reserved on issue.
-
04
Loading and documents
Steam cleaning, quarantine inspection where required, then lashing into the container. Bill of lading, invoice and certificates couriered on departure.
Start with a specification
Send the unit you want, or the work you need done. We answer with what is in the yard and what is coming through auction.
Your side
What you handle at the destination
Import clearance
Duties, taxes and any agricultural import permits are your responsibility in the destination country. We supply the documents the carrier and your customs agent need; we do not clear cargo on your behalf.
Delivery from the port
Once the container is discharged, your agent or haulier takes over. We can introduce freight forwarders we already work with on African and Asian routes if you need a recommendation.
